4th of July!

4th of July is BIG on Kevin's side of the family. It is non-stop sun-up to sun-down. We started the day with the WJ parade. I often skip the parade part because the heat is too much for me. However, this year, the weather was unseasonably cool, so I tagged along. The kids had a great time watching the parade, and of course, catching candy. After the parade we came home and the kids played out back in the sprinklers and then we had a little downtime before the BBQ. Birthdays are also abundant on the 4th of July, on both sides of our family. It is Kevin's grandpa's and aunt Susan's birthday. It is also my brother-in-law Matt's birthday. So, there's a lot to celebrate! He headed over to the Allen family BBQ and spent a few hours there. We ate, talked, watched the kids play (of course Anistyn had to bring her bike and show off her new skills). We then headed home, quickly bathed the kids, and headed to our friends the Barton's for some fireworks. We had an amazing fireworks show courtesy of the next door neighbors (highly illegal, yet entertaining!)--that is until the fire dept showed up, handed out what I'm sure was a hefty fine, and confiscated the remaining awesome fireworks. It was a long, exhausting day, but we loved every minute of it!

Great collage!!! Sorry we missed you guys this year. Driving home after the Sandy City fireworks show was so NOT fun, but given that they had bouncy bounce, we had to go. (you know the drill...) :)
