Today Anistyn went on her first all-day field trip with her preschool. They have been on field trips before, but only during regular school hours. Today they went to the Bean museum down at BYU. She has been SO excited to go all week. After the museum they were able to go to a nearby park, eat their sack lunches (which she thought was so cool) and play at the park. Today I got a little glimpse of what it will be like to have her gone to school every day. I'll be honest--I've always been one of those moms who can't wait for their kids to be in school all day. It has always sounded like pure BLISS to have the house to myself for 6 hours at a time. However, today (even with one child still home), I found myself sad, missing her terribly and worrying about how she was doing. So, when I heard her come through the front door I was ecstatic! She took off her shoes and came into the living room to find me. She broke into tears and ran into my lap. At first I thought maybe her friends did something to make her upset (she gets her feelings hurt easy), but after calming her down and asking her why she was sad, she just said "I just wanted to come home and see you". My heart just melted. My sentiments exactly. So, I guess today I realized that instead of being one of those moms who can't wait for their kids to leave for school all day (which I thought I was), apparently I'm one of those moms who can't wait for them to come home. *cue tears*

How sweet! Don't you just love that they love us soooooooooooo much!?
This is why we are mommies!!! So sweet!
Enjoy this moment and savor every bit of it! The day will come when the winds of change will begin to blow. But you have a whole bunch of years before that happens. I miss those days but they come back in the form of grandchildren.
Cue the tears indeed. I am struggling with thinking Reagan will be gone two days a week for 2 hours. Uggh!
