Staycation
For Easter, we REALLY wanted to go to Arizona to visit Kevin's 2 sisters, but since gas prices were nearing $4.00/gallon, we figured that probably wasn't the wisest decision. SO, in order to not disappoint the kids too badly, we decided to plan a fun Staycation. We booked a room at the Little America hotel downtown. First, we took the kids to Tepanyaki for dinner. They had never been to a place like that and they LOVED every minute of it. It was so fun watching their cute little faces as the chef prepared the food right in front of them. They had such a blast! After dinner we headed back to check into our room. Then we walked around Gateway for awhile, spending most of our time playing in the Apple store. After our dinner had settled, we headed back to the hotel and did some swimming. And then, finished off the night with some ice cream in our room. The next morning we introduced the kids to mine and Kevin's favorite--Little America buffet breakfast! They couldn't believe all of the foods there were to choose from. They definitely want to do that again. We then topped off our fun weekend at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. It really is fun as a parent to just follow them around and watch them have a good time. It was a great way to end our Staycation. Until next time......

Sounds like a great time! (Our kids LOVE Tepanyaki - or as they call it "ching ching").
