First camping trip of 2011

The middle of May brought some beautiful weather! It didn't always stick around, but we found a nice night to start off the camping season. We decided to go somewhere new, so we headed up to Rockport, in the little town of Wanship. It was a really pretty place. Definitely not a mid-summer camping spot (not enough trees in the camp area), but it was great for mid-May. The kids had so much fun. We finally got to use our new tent that we bought last year. There is one room for us, and a separate room for the kids. Stockton was in full teasing mode, so we may have to do one girl room and one boy room next time! We had a great time barbecuing hot dogs, walking around the beach, feeding the "chickmucks", and taking the boat out for some fishing. I'm glad our kids have learned to love the outdoors and aren't afraid to get dirty. It sure makes for some fun times!
