Sunny, warm Arizona!!!

We were wanting to get out of this cold weather and head to somewhere where Spring is actually occurring, so we headed down to Arizona! We first stopped in Vegas and spent a day with Ralph. We went to the M&M store (our kids' favorite!) and also stopped by the lion exhibit at the MGM Grand. It was really cool. We had fun hanging out with Ralph! Then we headed off to Mesa where we stayed with Sherry, Jordan & Rylan (Neil is out of town). We had SO much fun and the weather could not have been nicer. We did LOTS of swimming. Anistyn decided she wanted to take off the life vest and actually swim and she did great! Stockton also decided he wasn't afraid of the water and he kicked around like a little fish all week. Kevin took me out to dinner and movie for my birthday and Sherry took me to get a pedicure. I was definitely spoiled! I don't think I've ever been out of town for my birthday (at least not as an adult) and I actually liked it--it was so relaxing! And now we are back home, where it is STILL not Spring, but we are rejuvenated and ready to finish off the school year and head into SUMMER (at least we hope it shows up sometime soon!).

**A funny side note about AZ--Sherry has a chiuaua named Lola. Sherry taught the kids the Barry Manilow song "Lola...she was a showgirl...". They thought it was so funny and sang it for days (actually, my kids are still singing it!) On our last night there we were at the park and Lola got off her leash. We were all chasing her around, trying to get her back. Stockton stops and says "Lola is NOT a showgirl". It gave us all a pretty good laugh!
