Truthfully, Kevin and I have never really been big on celebrating Valentine's Day. In fact, before we had kids, we didn't do much of anything. Mostly because Kevin's birthday is exactly one week later and we would rather celebrate that. But also because we hate fighting the Valentine's Day crowds. A few years ago we started a Valentine's Day tradition where we go to breakfast as a family. The kids LOVE it, we don't have to fight the dinner crowds, and we get to be together. Since Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday this year, we moved our breakfast to today, which ended up being perfect since it's President's Day and Kevin has the day off work. We went to IHOP and had a great time. The kids get better every year and they LOVE pancakes. Anistyn also had a great time at her Kindergarten Valentine's Day party on Friday. They played games, decorated cookies, made hats, and passed out Valentines to their classmates. Well--every EXCEPT Anistyn! I was there helping with the party and was so busy with the other kids that I didn't even notice that she didn't hand them out! They were rotating to different stations and I guess she took too long at one station and missed out on the passing out of the Valentines. Well, apparently she had so much fun that she didn't seem to care that the
2 1/2 hours she spent putting them together were now in vain. Oh well--life goes on. Here are a few pics of our Valentine's Day weekend:

Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day!
