No need to panic.....

So, when your son wakes up with legs that look like this....

..and arms that look like this....

....try not to freak out like I did this morning. (I have no idea why Blogger is underlining this, by the way). Stockton woke up with nasty bumps all over his arms, legs, and neck this morning. It seemed to get worse by the hour. I immediately jumped online to look up pictures of chicken pocks. To me they looked like chicken pocks, but what do I know? And after all, he had his vaccine so how cold I be so unlucky? After a trip to the pediatrician (even getting to enter through the back entrance for the deathly ill), it was confirmed it is Erythema Multiforma Minor. Basically, a virus that the immune system didn't handle properly, producing a nasty rash. The rash itself is not contagious (thank goodness), but does get worse before it gets better. 12 hours later and they now look like huge boils. There is no treatment--just waiting out the 2-4 week period. Seriously??? I feel like I need to attach a sign to his head saying he isn't contagious in order to take him out in public, as to avoid the evil eye from every mother I pass along the way. After all, he does look like a leper! I'm just thanking my lucky stars it wasn't Erythema Multiforma Major--which is actually life threatening. Like I said, no need to panic....

Oh my goodness! That must have been so scary! I am glad that it wasn't anything serious!

HELLO by the way! So nice to find you on here!

Poor guy. It looks like my legs when they break out into hives (which happens more frequently than I'd like to admit) Is it itchy? If so, I wholeheartedly suggest Gold Bond lotion. I hope it clears up quickly.

Beau had that over Christmas the year before last. So in all the Christmas pictures he looks diseased. I remember taking him to the doctor all worried too.

Ugggh! Poor Stockton. That looks nasty (and uncomfortable - does it bother him?). Hope it doesn't last 2 weeks :(
