A tender mercy
So, now that I've been sustained in my new calling, I can post the news for all the world (or at least the select few who read my blog) to see. As a follow up to my last post...yes, I did get released from the YW presidency. However, the Lord has given me a tender mercy and allowed me to stay as the Laurel advisor. I could not be more thrilled. However, today at church was harder than I thought it would be. All of the old presidency and the new presidency were in YW today. Sitting with the old presidency, knowing that this will be the last time we will all sit together in YW, made me so sad. I love these women just as much as I love the YW. They are SO amazing. They have taught me so much. They have been amazing examples to me. We have laughed together, cried together and prayed together. I know the new presidency will also be amazing, but I will miss these women so much. I hope that someday the Lord will show me another tender mercy and allow me to serve with these women again.

I was dying to come to YW today, just to watch it all unfold. I am so happy for you (and sad for me) that you get to stay there. I really wanted you to come to Relief Society with me. I guess they need the best people in Primary and Young Womens. I can live with that.
You'll love your new calling and they will love you :)
i love the yw, I am glad you get to stay. i am sure the girls love you and learn so much from your good example as a wife, mother, friend..... you are great. and such a babe :)
I am glad you were able to stay in YW's! I can't imagine how hard it will be when I get released. Hopefully that won't happen for a long time since I just got put in last July! I am glad we have been able to catch up!
YW is the best!! btw I love your family picture!
I am so grateful that you are able to continue to serve "my girls." I miss you and them like crazy. You are an incredible friend and one of the great blessings that came as a result of my service in YW. Thank you for your support and love. It means more than you will ever know. I look forward to the day when we can work together again. I love you!
