Happy 50th Birthday Ralph!!!!

Today is Ralph's 50th birthday! (Side note--Ralph's real name is Michael, but I nicknamed him Ralph when I was a teenager and it has stuck ever since. Even my kids call him Grandpa Ralph!)Ralph married my Mom when I was 11 years old, so he has been a part of our lives for over 2o years. He is the BEST!!!! Of course, when I was a teenager, I didn't think so, but now looking back at my life, we were so blessed to have him as our step-dad. He treated us as if we were his own children. We all turned out pretty dang good, and he had a great deal to do with that. In honor of his birthday, here are my 10 favorite things about Ralph:
1. I love his laugh. He has the most infectious laugh.
2. He has a great sense of humor. Growing up he loved to tease us, just to get a reaction. Not much has changed in that department!
3. He will do anything for his family. He takes such good care of both of his parents (not to mention us girls!)
4. He loves the gospel. I have yet to meet anyone who knows more about the gospel. He studies it, loves it, and lives it. He's a great example.
5. He loves to read and learn. One of the first things I learned about him is that he LOVES to read. He has an amazing book collection and he's read every one of them!
6. He loves his country. He has always been active in politics and works to restore the values that our founding fathers established in this country.
7. He has integrity. He doesn't care if it's not the popular thing to do, he stands up for what is right.
8. He loves me and my sisters as if we were his own kids. Even after he and my mom divorced, he still calls us "his girls".
9. He supports us in EVERYTHING we do. He makes sure he is here for every important event in our lives.
10. He is the best Grandpa! He absolutely adores my kids and they adore him!
We love you Ralph! Happy 50th!!!!

Happy Birthday Mike - it was great to see you and catch up a bit. Make sure to come and visit again soon (hopefully not for a funeral this time).
What a nice tribute Rachel.
